Job Summary
Part-Time Cook responsible for preparing and serving meals for dining room and room deliveries. Duties include cooking and baking according to schedule, maintaining sanitation, supervising in the absence of the Dietary Manager, monitoring inventory, following dietary department policies, serving meals per diet orders, ensuring proper thawing and food safety, and participating in in-service education. Requires ability to work in a kitchen environment, adhere to safety rules, and collaborate with residents, families, and staff to deliver nutritious meals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions, document tasks completed
- Must have the ability to cook quality and nutritional meals under the direction of the Food Service Director
- Must be able to direct dietary aides regarding meal preparation
