Job Summary
Assist with set-up and execution of assigned positions for Chicago Steel scoreboard shows, including camera operation, Dreamcatcher replay, robocam/shader, and music playback. Participate in pregame rehearsals and prepare, test, and validate content prior to puck drop. Execute in-game elements such as TV timeouts, intermissions, and statistical displays while collaborating with control-room staff to troubleshoot technical issues. Requires prior training or hands-on experience in live production functions and the ability to work unconventional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work unconventional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as the required by the events schedule
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in at least one live production function, such as camera operation, replay, graphics, robocam/camera shading, audio/music playback, etc
- Ability to accurately execute technical cues and direction in a live, fast-paced production environment
- High attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to production quality
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with control-room and game-presentation personnel
- Ability to address, troubleshoot, adapt to, and overcome challenges quickly and calmly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Prior training, education, or hands-on experience in at least one of these technical areas: camera operation, Dreamcatcher replay technician, robocam / shader, Xpression operator, 7Point operator music playback
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience in live sports, broadcast, or event production
