Circulate pages, input corrections in InDesign, and coordinate closely with the editor, copy editor, and design departments. Prepare stories for web by writing SEO-optimized headlines for a digital audience. This part-time role requires reporting to the office five days per week during production periods, with a base pay range of $40-$50/hr. The successful candidate must possess at least 10 years of professional experience editing features for a print publication and demonstrate deep knowledge of luxury products, high-end consumers, and celebrity news.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of professional experience editing features for a print publication
- Excellent editorial judgment and writing, line-editing and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, with strong multitasking, organizational and prioritization skills under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in InDesign, WordPress and Airtable
- Deep knowledge of high-end products, luxury consumers and celebrity news
- Expected to report into the office 5 days per week during Alexa production periods
