Part-Time Construction Inspector - Central / South Florida

Job Summary
Serve as Ducks Unlimited's representative on wetland and habitat restoration projects in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee by performing inspections to verify contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and standards. Prepare inspection reports, maintain project records, and operate surveying equipment including GPS to assist with construction surveys. Support Regional Engineers with administrative duties while demonstrating the ability to operate ATVs and outboard boats in various environments. This remote role requires a minimum of 10 years of construction field experience and the willingness to work outside normal business hours, travel overnight, and work independently in inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of methods and techniques of project administration, construction inspection and materials testing.
- Knowledge in heavy construction work methods, practices, materials and equipment.
- 10 years minimum experience the construction field required.
- Experience and knowledge in construction surveying techniques, including GPS.
- Ability to operate ATV and outboard boats in various environments.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours.
- Willingness to work independently.
- Willingness to travel out of town and overnight on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in remote work environments.
