Job Summary
Greets guests, acquaints them with items for sale using suggestive selling techniques, and serves food and beverages in correct proportions while adhering to sanitation and alcohol service guidelines. Expedites orders for cashiers, participates in stand set-up and inventory management, and performs ongoing clean-up duties to maintain the work area. Requests identification when serving alcoholic beverages and notifies the Stand Lead Supervisor of any inventory shortages. Requires ServSafe and T.I.P.S. training, with availability primarily for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Reliable method of communication for scheduling and urgent contact
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the general public
- Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in an often fast-paced environment where multiple tasks, events, and stimuli may occur simultaneously
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to remember previously learned material such as specifics, criteria, techniques, principles, and procedures
- Ability to put parts together to form a new whole or proposed set of operations
- Ability to identify choices and potential outcomes, determine importance of outcomes, combine information to prioritize options, and make decisions based on best and most important choice
- Must be available to work primarily nights and weekends, and occasionally holidays, as event schedules dictate
- Ability to successfully complete training to be ServSafe certified through the National Restaurant Association
- Ability to be T.I.P.S. trained through a venue-approved vendor
