Job Summary
Provide one-on-one skill-building interventions and support for adults with developmental disabilities to develop adaptive coping skills and achieve educational and vocational goals. Build rapport, communicate openly without judgment, and assist clients in setting goals to build self-esteem and motivation. Contribute to and implement community-based activities and programs while completing all necessary documentation and required training by the due date. Serve as a positive role model for clients across varied locations in Cumberland County.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or higher education degree
- Six months of previous professional work experience with a person with a developmental disability
- Valid driver's license in good standing (under 5 points)
- Valid car insurance
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Cooperation with Premier Behavioral Supports and The Department of Human Services in all inspections and investigations
- Monday - 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. schedule
- Work location: Mt. Laurel, NJ
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Behavior management: 1 year
