Part-time CNC Machinist

Job Summary
Operate CNC machine centers including vertical/horizontal mills and turning centers by loading programs, setting up parts in fixtures, and editing code to maintain tolerance. Conduct in-process inspections, measure workpiece dimensions, and remove flashing or burrs to ensure quality standards are met. Actively monitor operations for defects or malfunctions, maintain cutting tools, and keep the machine and work area clean. Report improper operations, faulty equipment, or unusual conditions to the Team Leader while performing housekeeping chores. Work independently with minimal direction, utilizing basic tools and adhering to all safety policies and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least one year related experience and training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form
- Ability to perform statistical process control input and interpret statistical data to compensate for machining deviation
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations on fractions, percentages, decimals, and machine speeds/feeds
- Knowledgeable in regard to the safety policies and procedures of the Company
- Ability to comply with Company hazardous waste disposal procedures
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Color vision
- Depth perception
- Ability to adjust focus
