Job Summary
Assess patient nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition plans based on medical history and current health needs. Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding proper nutrition and lifestyle changes. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement clinical protocols and monitor patient progress to modify plans as necessary. Stay current with the latest research in clinical nutrition. This role involves rotating weekend coverage at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX, within a 630-bed not-for-profit system recognized as a Level I Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in nutrition or a related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
- Licensed Dietitian status in Texas
Desired Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Passion for improving patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition care
