Job Summary
Answer multiple line phones, schedule appointments, and greet clients upon arrival. Prepare and collect information to update pet charts, explain payment policies, and process invoices using the computer. Handle faxing, filing, and mailing while making reminder calls and performing end-of-day duties. Collect payments, record transactions, and ensure consistent attendance for 10-12 hour day shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Overtime may be required. This role supports the mission of enhancing quality of life for patients at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma
- Two years minimum customer service experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- Know how to operate basic office equipment
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to forty (40) pounds
- Day shifts available (10-12 hour shifts)
- Saturday, Sunday, or both
- Overtime may be required
- Consistent, on time arrival and attendance at work each day you are scheduled
- Always be in position and prepared to work at the start of each shift
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well with others as a team
- Flexibility and the ability to adjust to a changing environment
- Handle stress and pressure calmly, with poise and tact
- Self-motivated, hard worker
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate appropriately

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the veterinary field is preferred, but not required
