Job Summary
Research and process claims according to business regulations, internal standards, and processing guidelines. Verify coding of procedure and diagnosis codes, resolving system edits, audits, and claims errors through research and approved references. Coordinate with internal departments to work edits and deferrals, updating patient, insurance, and provider identification files as necessary. This part-time role offers 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8am to 2:30pm, located on-site at 4101 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong analytical, organizational and customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient spelling, punctuation and grammar skills
- Good judgment skills
- Basic business math skills
- Part-time (30-hours/week) Monday-Friday from 8am-2:30pm
- On-site location at 4101 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year-of experience in a healthcare or insurance environment
- Ability to use complex mathematical calculations
