Job Summary
Provide a safe, loving environment for infants through five-year-olds by checking children in and out, feeding them, changing diapers, soothing babies, and supervising play. Lead age-appropriate activities for toddlers and preschoolers, manage nap times, and ensure play, sleep, and changing areas remain clean. Clean toys at the end of each day while working independently in groups of up to thirteen children. Shifts run 6:30am–9:30am or 12:30pm–6pm, Monday through Friday, with a requirement to work the same five-day schedule. Candidates must pass a drug test and background check, provide references, and possess strong communication skills to interact with parents.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass Drug Test (for all drugs illegal in the state of Nevada)
- Must Pass Background Check
- Must provide references
- Must be available Monday through Friday
- Meet annual professional development requirements, per Washoe County Licensing
- Willing to work with ages from 6 weeks to 5 years
- Caring individual who gets to know children by name
- Dedicated to local community
- Helping the team is a priority
- Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
Desired Qualifications
- High school or GED (Preferred)
- Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
