Job Summary
Assistant Teacher in a licensed Child Care Center to support a Lead Teacher with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, create a warm, engaging environment, and promote hands-on learning, exploration, and growth. Responsibilities include establishing a safe day care environment, managing snacks/meals, following state licensing regulations, coordinating activities to balance child- and teacher-initiated tasks, promoting self-esteem, cultural diversity, and creative expression, maintaining smooth transitions, fostering positive relationships with children and families, supervising volunteers, attending staff trainings, and ensuring OSHA standards. Must work Monday–Friday with various shifts; CPR/First Aid certification required at hire (60 days to obtain); health examination and fingerprint background check required; U.S. location Stevens Point, WI.
Required Qualifications
- experience working with children 6 weeks-6 years
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- completed high school or its equivalent
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a prerequisite of hire (will allow 60 days post-hire to obtain)
- physician-signed health examination and fingerprint background check
