Job Summary
CDL Delivery Driver (Part-Time) at Lowe's in Daphne, AL. Responsibilities include providing strong customer service, delivering and loading merchandise (including appliances), coordinating with truck drivers to ensure on-time delivery, inspecting products before delivery, maintaining safe loads within DOT regulations, updating route/status in systems, and complying with DOT/CDL regulations. Requires Class A or B CDL depending on route, valid medical certificate, ability to pass MVR checks, basic arithmetic skills, and 21+ years old. Preferred experience includes semi-truck/trailer operation, in-home delivery or retail customer service, and forklift operation.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License required for multi-unit CMV (tractor trailer) or Class B CDL with air brake endorsement for single-unit CMV
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen according to company requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- CDL licensing and regulatory compliance and related responsibilities as described in job posting
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
