Job Summary
Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery. Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload while inspecting product condition before loading. Coordinate with customers regarding delivery or in-stock items, unloads and installs appliances, and verifies daily vehicle inspections for DOT compliance. Ensure loads meet Department of Transportation regulations and maintain a safe work environment by detecting security risks and adhering to housekeeping standards. Requires Class A or B CDL license, valid medical certificate, and ability to pass MVR screen. Must be 21 years of age.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Class B CDL License with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
