Job Summary
Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule while ensuring on-time delivery of orders. Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits. Inspect product condition before loading or assist customers with loading, then unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery. Verify daily vehicle inspections, maintain DOT compliance, and report tracking status updates on the system. Ensure loads are safe and secure, detect security risks, and maintain store cleanliness and safety standards. Maintain a safe work environment by conducting daily safety reviews and securing doors and gates.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Class B CDL License with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
