Job Summary
Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule while pulling, building, and banding loads within payload limits. Inspect product condition before loading, match invoice items to quantities, and assist customers with loading. Ensure loads remain safe and secure per DOT regulations, update delivery status on the tracking system, and un/install appliances upon arrival. Verify daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report security risks or hazards immediately. Operate store equipment as needed and adhere to all safety requirements for top stock and power equipment. Maintain a safe work environment by conducting daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Class B CDL License with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
