Job Summary
Transport freight, load, and unload products between service centers and customers while performing pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer. Properly document freight control processes, read shipping papers, and affix correct hazardous materials placards as needed. Safely operate a forklift for loading and unloading when indicated, assist customers with shipping paperwork, and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Adhere to operational procedures in the Driver/Dockworker Manual and participate in company training programs. Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts, and assignments. Requires a valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement, two years of commercial driving experience, and a DOT physical.
Required Qualifications
- At least 23 years of age
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement
- Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card
- No DUI, Citation/Conviction for Reckless Operations in the past 3 years
- Less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
