Job Summary
Setup, service, and breakdown tables, chairs, and linens for over 1,000 annual catering events while maintaining buffet lines and bar areas. Deliver exceptional service to guests and clients, ensuring smooth event execution and adherence to ServSafe food safety guidelines. Clear remaining items, wash dishes, and manage inventory and stocking protocols. Communicate with Event Leads regarding last-minute requests and handle cash or card transactions if 21 or older. Provide support across Dining Services when catering work is unavailable.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check
- Must be committed to following departmental standards and guidelines to ensure the safety of self and others
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and provide responses in writing
- Ability to use computers to read and respond to emails and to use basic applications
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- ServSafe certification or willingness to acquire within a year of employment date
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
