Job Summary
Locum Part-Time Campus Physician for the Excelsior Springs Job Corps campus in Excelsior Springs, MO. On-site physician providing physical exams and minor acute medical care to student patients ages 16-24, with a low patient load. Collaboration with mid-levels, medical/wellness staff, and substance-abuse specialists; 18 hours/week, no weekend shifts, 8-hour day shifts. Contract/1099 engagement with The Locums Company, LLC; pay is $155/hour and includes professional liability insurance. Requires Missouri medical license, active Federal DEA license, and experience caring for adolescents. Responsibilities include school physicals, minor sports injuries, management of hypertension, diabetes, ADHD, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, sprains, allergies, wellness exams, and sick visits; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted state medical license in Missouri
- Experience in providing medical care to adolescent patients
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work 18 hours per week (no weekends)
- Prior locums physician experience is a plus
- Valid Federal DEA license
