Job Summary
Long term contract Locum Physician position at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps campus, on-site to provide physical exams and minor acute medical care to student patients ages 16-24. Responsibilities include conducting school physicals, treating minor sports injuries and common conditions (hypertension, diabetes, ADHD, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, sprains), performing basic procedures, and prescribing medications. Collaborates with mid-levels and wellness staff, with a low patient load and an 18-hour weekly schedule (no weekends). Requires Missouri medical license, Federal DEA license, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Pay is $155 per hour with contract terms and professional liability insurance included.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted state medical license in Missouri
- Federal DEA license
- Experience with adolescent patients
- Willingness to work 18 hours per week (no weekends)
