Job Summary
Locums Physician needed to provide school physical exams and minor acute medical care to student patients ages 16-24 at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps campus. The role is on-site, part-time (18 hours/week), with a long-term contract as a physician contractor. Responsibilities include performing school physicals, managing minor sports injuries and common acute/primary care needs, coordinating with mid-levels and wellness staff, and delivering care in a low-volume clinical setting. Requires active Missouri medical license and Federal DEA, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to work independently. Compensation is $155/hour with professional liability insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Missouri state medical license
- Experience with adolescent patients
- Basic medical procedures and prescribing medications
- Excellent communication/problem-solving/interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work 18 hours per week (no weekends)
- Valid Federal DEA license
