Job Summary
Locum physician on-site at Excelsior Springs Job Corps in the Wellness Clinic, providing physical exams and minor acute care to student patients aged 16-24. Role is long-term contract/locum with The Locums Company, LLC, offering compensation and professional liability insurance. Hours are 18 per week, daytime shifts (8:00 am–5:00 pm) with no weekends; in-person work at the campus clinic. Responsibilities include school physical exams, management of minor injuries and conditions (hypertension, diabetes, ADHD, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, sprains, allergies), wellness/sick visits, and collaboration with mid-levels and wellness staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Missouri state medical license
- Valid Federal DEA license
- Experience in providing medical care to adolescent patients, including performing basic medical procedures and prescribing medications
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work 18 hours per week (no weekends)
- Prior locums physician experience is a plus
