Job Summary
Conduct behavioral assessments, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and data analysis to identify the function of school avoidant behavior in students. Develop individualized, function-based Positive Behavior Support Plans and measurable goals in collaboration with students, families, and school teams. Provide clinical oversight to Attend Program Specialists, offering modeling, coaching, and feedback while supporting intervention implementation across home, school, and school-reentry settings. Deliver parent/caregiver consultation and training to establish evidence-based routines and reinforcement systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams, including psychologists and special education staff, to review assessment findings and adjust strategies for successful attendance. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress consistent with CCIU procedures. This role supports the Attend School Avoidance Program through a partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit, offering pay of $75-$79 per hour for independent contractors with morning availability required for home-based assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Experience working with school-age students with behavioral, emotional, or mental health needs
- Experience providing behavioral consultation, parent/caregiver training, and staff coaching
- Experience collaborating with families, educators, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of special education processes, behavioral assessment, data-based decision making, and evidence-based behavioral interventions
- Ability to work effectively across home and school settings
- Experience conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing function-based Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Current Certificate
