Job Summary
Part-time Bilingual Technology Trainer (English/Spanish) for OATS/Senior Planet. Teach technology to older adults using the OATS curriculum, in-person and virtual classes, and facilitator-style coaching. Responsibilities include delivering technology courses, creating a supportive learning environment, providing personalized caller support, making outbound outreach, coordinating with site staff, submitting paperwork, collecting surveys, entering data into Salesforce, participating in trainer meetings and training events, recruiting participants as needed, and contributing to special projects. Requires proficiency with common software and devices, the ability to explain technical concepts clearly in English and Spanish, strong communication skills, patience, creativity, dependability, a sense of humor, and at least 1 year of professional work experience. Based in Montgomery with Rockville, MD locations; travel to senior/community centers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent speaking and communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly in English and Spanish
- Experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors, preferable
- Proficiency with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices
- Comfortable traveling to various senior/community centers as needed, when/if safe to do so
- Ability to work independently and as part of a training team
- Superior time-management skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional work setting
