Part-time Behavior Support Assistant

Job Summary
Behavior Support Assistants provide direct support to staff and students by introducing and modeling research/evidence based interventions and social skills curriculum; coordinate with Behavior Specialists/Liaisons and school staff to implement behavior curriculum, develop effective intervention plans and crisis/safety plans; carry out student supervisory duties to ensure a safe and healthful environment; maintain a notebook with weekly behavior logs, Behavior Intervention Plans, and progress notes; perform general classroom assistance and represent the needs of school and children to parents and the community; demonstrate positive behavior and adapt to emergencies while respecting cultural differences.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Associate’s Degree, or Completion of 48 semester hours of college credits
- Attend training from Crisis Prevention Institute
