Job Summary
Receives and fills drink orders from patrons or servers in a fast-paced environment, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly while requesting identification as necessary. Mixes and serves drinks following standard recipes, collects payment for drinks served, and makes correct change accurately. Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning supplies, keeps the work area secure and clean, and cleans and stores bar equipment. Performs opening and closing duties according to established procedures and completes Daily Bar Sales Reports thoroughly. Available primarily for nights, weekends, and occasionally holidays as event schedules dictate.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain all State and local required certificates and licenses necessary to serve food and alcohol.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable method of communication for scheduling and urgent contact.
- Must be available to work primarily nights and weekends, and occasionally holidays, as event schedules dictate.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to speak and understand English clearly.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with venue staff and the general public.
- Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to remember previously learned material.
- Ability to identify choices and potential outcomes and make decisions based on the best choice.
- Must have a positive and friendly demeanor.
Desired Qualifications
- Bartending and customer service experience preferred.
