Job Summary

Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, take drink orders, and check identification to verify legal drinking age. Maintain a clean and organized bar by restocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and following health and safety regulations. Process cash and credit card transactions while monitoring alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service. Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner and adhere to all hotel policies and procedures. Must be available to work weekends and holidays, arrive on time in a clean uniform, and possess a minimum of one year of progressive hotel bartending experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Age requirement: 21+
  • Previous experience working as a bartender in a hotel or similar establishment
  • Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and various cooking methods
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Familiarity with beverage cost control, inventory management, and food cost management
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol)
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects such as kegs, cases of liquor, and kitchen supplies
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Arrives to work on time, ready to clock in, in a clean/pressed uniform and non-slip shoes
  • Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Must be attentive, courteous and efficient at all times when dealing with the guests and co-workers

  • Be familiar with all policies and hotel rules, and hotel terminology

  • Must follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff
  • A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel bartending is required
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years

  • Ability to meet the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, whether serving drinks
