Job Summary
Backroom Coordinator coordinates receiving and merchandising activities, ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded while driving efficient flow of goods to the sales floor. Responsibilities include orchestrating truck deliveries, training Associates on processing principles, monitoring productivity, organizing back stock, maintaining safety and compliance, and partnering with management on training needs. Requires strong communication and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and capability to lift heavy objects. Role emphasizes accuracy in tagging/replenishment, adherence to labor laws, and involvement in shrink-reduction and safety initiatives; candidates should be adaptable to a flexible schedule and collaborative teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year retail experience
- 6 months of leadership experience
- Superior communication and organizational skills
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Able to train others
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
