Job Summary
In-Home, Associate Veterinarian role with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in the Milwaukee/Hartland, WI area. Mobile hospice veterinary care delivering compassionate end-of-life care for pets and families, with flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules and a guaranteed base salary (part-time, 2-day/week) of $45,000 annually plus bonuses; opportunities to discuss full-time options (3–5 days) and additional compensation upon request. Responsibilities include providing humane hospice and euthanasia services in clients’ homes, maintaining high standards of patient and client care, collaborating with a nationwide network of veterinarians and mentors, and practicing independently within Lap of Love’s supportive framework. Ideal candidates will have a DVM/VMD, Wisconsin veterinary license or eligibility, strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and a passion for balancing professional fulfillment with personal well-being.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or VMD degree
- active veterinary license in Wisconsin or eligibility
- experience in in-home/mobile veterinary care preferred
- ability to provide hospice and euthanasia care with compassion
- excellent client communication and empathy
