Provide in-home veterinary hospice and euthanasia care as a mobile Associate Veterinarian for Lap of Love in Buffalo, NY and surrounding areas. Role emphasizes compassionate, patient- and family-centered medical support delivered in clients' homes, with flexible scheduling (2–5 days per week) and opportunities to work independently within a supportive veterinary network. Expect 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, ongoing mentorship, and access to a 24/7/365 Support Center. Requires DVM/VMD and licensure, with experience in hospice/palliative care and strong client communication; practice is mobile and emphasizes work–life balance and personal well-being.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from an accredited program
- Licensed veterinarian in good standing in NY or ability to obtain
- Experience in small animal care preferred
- Comfort with hospice and euthanasia care
- Strong client communication skills
- Ability to work independently in mobile/home-visit settings
- Compassion and emotional resilience in end-of-life care
