Job Summary
In-home, mobile Associate Veterinarian role with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in Providence, RI (surrounding area) and nearby communities. Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in a mobile, in-home setting. Flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules with an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, supportive onboarding and mentorship, and opportunity to practice medicine with independence and work-life balance. The role emphasizes meaningful client relationships, emotional fulfillment, and professional autonomy within a supportive network of veterinarians and practice managers.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M. or V.M.D.) and valid veterinary license to practice in RI/MA or ability to obtain license
- Area of practice: hospice and in-home care preferred
- Ability to perform euthanasia with compassion and professionalism
- Strong communication skills with pet families
- Comfort with flexible, client-centered scheduling
