Job Summary
Communicate directly with patients and families to complete registration by collecting demographics, health information, and verifying insurance eligibility. Respond to inquiries regarding routine and sensitive topics compassionately while utilizing computer systems to enter and verify patient data in real time. Check in patients to obtain all required demographics and insurance information, answer billing questions, and deliver patient estimates based on benefits to collect co-pays and deductibles. Work Friday through Monday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ, with the ability to push a workstation on wheels.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic level of proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
- Basic level of proficiency in typing skills
- Ability to be on feet for 95% of the shift
- Ability to push a WOW (workstation on wheels)
- Ability to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Must pass a drug test
