Greet visitors and patients in person while communicating via telephone or video conferencing to uphold excellent customer service. Handle confidential information appropriately and follow all Switchboard departmental processes. Prioritize by assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergency needs and maintain current physician on-call schedules. Enter and update patient demographic and financial information, ensuring full registration early in the process. Obtain applications and forms, confirm signatures, and photocopy or scan documents as needed. Provide financial responsibility information, collect patient liabilities, and balance the cash box daily. Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable. Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards and resolve error reports timely. Works with partnering departments to ensure all aspects of the patient's encounter are completed.
