Job Summary
As Assistant Store Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the self-storage facility, drive sales to convert inquiries into rentals, deliver engaging facility tours, maintain premium presentation, execute inspections, implement marketing plans, and participate in local community activities. You will mentor and empower assistant managers, execute operational procedures to elevate service quality, proactively manage rent collections and fees, and maintain precise accounting records. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing light maintenance and property upkeep, driving growth through sales and marketing efforts, maintaining a clean and secure facility, and representing the property in local associations and events. The role requires high energy, strong communication, the ability to close leads, and the flexibility to work weekends and open availability, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Management experience in leasing, retail, or operations environment
- Previous experience in sales or marketing with a proven ability to generate business and close leads
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic and open to new ideas and direction changes
- Must be able to stand for several hours and lift 25 lbs
- Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
- Completion of pre-employment background screening
- Experience in storage management a plus
