Part Time - Assistant Store Manager

Assistant Manager/Key Carrier at Big Lots responsible for customer service and supporting the Store Manager with overall store operations. Duties include assisting with hiring, training and development of store team members, supporting daily store activities, performing opening and closing procedures in the manager's absence, protecting store assets including cash, enforcing policies and safety guidelines, maintaining professional environment for customers and staff, maintaining stockroom and sales floor to company standards, directing hourly Team Members when Store Manager is not present, processing corporate directives, overseeing receipt/return of DSD merchandise, managing freight flow, meeting or exceeding productivity standards, assisting with ordering and stocking merchandise, ensuring sales floor is sales effective, and assisting with planning and implementing directives in weekly store operations. Qualifications include prior retail and management experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lift up to 50lbs, ability to work in a high-energy team environment, and flexible part-time availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
