Job Summary
Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally, handling general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs. Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins by coordinating repairs and cleaning, while conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on the property. Maintain grounds and common areas, assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal, and coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs. Respond to emergency maintenance calls as required and maintain detailed records while communicating effectively with the Property Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Previous apartment, building, or general maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and work independently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
