Job Summary
Mentor for AmeriCorps program supporting Broward County Public Schools’ afterschool programming. Build meaningful relationships with students, model positive behaviors, and support academics while leading daily recreational activities that promote teamwork and FUN. Responsibilities include assisting with homework, projects, test/quiz preparation, helping students grow in confidence and independence, guiding conflict resolution in healthy ways, assisting with site setup/breakdown, and maintaining accurate student data. Participate in quarterly trainings and special events; AmeriCorps benefits and bi-weekly pay are provided; flexible schedule with an hourly wage (USD 15–18/hour per hints) for part-time afterschool duties.
Required Qualifications
- United States citizenship, national, or legal permanent resident
- at least 18 years of age
- ability to work within Broward County Public Schools (background check)
- high school diploma or equivalent
