Job Summary
Assist the Group Leader in maintaining a positive classroom environment and facilitating the Friendship Cares academic and enrichment curricula. Complete daily attendance accurately and on-time, help with general housekeeping, and maintain a neat, organized classroom. Supervise all activities to ensure safety, report any problems to the Extended Day Site Coordinator, and complete incident reports promptly. Greet parents and children, participate in dismissal procedures, and attend staff meetings and training programs. Work 3pm to 6pm Monday through Friday at an after-school site.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Requirements of the licensing agency
- Warm and friendly personality
- Sensitive to the feelings and needs of others
- Ability to relate well to children
- Willingness to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the School's program and philosophy
- At least six (6) months of supervised occupational experience working with school age children under the age of fifteen (15) years at a duly authorized school or camp, a licensed Child Development Center, or the equivalent
- Full course of a vaccination against COVID-19
