Part Time Afternoon Support Teacher

Job Summary
As a part-time support teacher, you will be responsible for supervising and managing daily class functions of a group of children, implementing approved lesson plans aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum, and maintaining a well-kept classroom environment. Essential skills include fostering children's social, emotional, and physical development, providing verbal support to children, and performing housekeeping duties related to classroom upkeep. Applicants should meet local childcare regulatory requirements and have experience in early childhood education.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to maintain professional personal appearance according to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School at Summerwood Employee Handbook
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
- Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
