Job Summary
Lead engaging after-school sports and fitness sessions for students in a part-time role, typically meeting once per week for about one hour across 10-week programs. Responsibilities include delivering structured, hands-on enrichment lessons focused on coordination, strength, confidence, teamwork, and healthy movement; adapting activities to meet students’ needs; maintaining a positive classroom environment; and coordinating with school staff and Concorde program contacts. Possible class topics include volleyball, basketball, soccer, yoga, mindfulness through movement, cardio games, team-based fitness challenges, and bodyweight movement circuits. Ideal candidates are current or former teachers or educators, college or graduate students studying education, kinesiology, sports science, or health, coaches or fitness instructors with youth experience, and those who enjoy mentoring students.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience leading sports, fitness activities, coaching, or youth physical activity programs
- Experience working with youth (schools, camps, sports programs, or after-school settings)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
