Job Summary
Lead engaging after-school sneaker design sessions for students, delivering structured, hands-on design activities focused on sneaker design principles, sketching, branding, and presenting ideas. Facilitate weekly classes, maintain a positive classroom environment, coordinate with school staff and Concorde program contacts, and adapt lessons to student needs. Topics include sneaker history, design principles, sketching concepts, color theory, branding and logo design, marketing and presenting ideas, and collaborative projects. Candidates should have strong design experience in design/fashion/art, be comfortable working with youth, and possess solid communication and facilitation skills. Position is part-time, 1–4 hours per week, typically 10-week program, with compensation of $50+ per instructional hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience in design, fashion, footwear, art, or creative industries
- Experience working with youth (schools, camps, after-school programs, or tutoring)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
