Job Summary
Lead engaging after-school improv sessions for students, facilitating structured, hands-on theater activities and games. Develop creativity, collaboration, storytelling, and confidence through performance, using weekly plans and adapting activities to student needs. Coordinate with school staff and Concorde program contacts to maintain a positive, structured classroom environment and deliver engaging enrichment experiences. Ideal candidates have improv/theater/performing arts experience, youth-facing experience, and strong communication and facilitation skills. Classes are typically once per week for about one hour, with potential to teach multiple programs based on availability. Possible topics include Yes, and collaboration, short-form improv games, character development, voice/movement/stage presence, and ensemble-building. Many instructors are current or former teachers, college students, actors, or creative arts instructors who enjoy mentoring students.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience with improv, theater, acting, or performing arts
- Experience working with youth (schools, camps, theater programs, or after-school settings)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
