Job Summary
Lead engaging after-school dance sessions for students, teaching choreography and movement techniques through structured activities and weekly plans. Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment while encouraging creativity, confidence, and teamwork. Coordinate with school staff and Concorde program contacts. Topics may include hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, or cultural dance styles, focusing on rhythm, musicality, movement coordination, basic technique, choreography, and group routines. Prepare short routines for demonstrations or school events and adapt activities to meet student needs and interests. Ideal candidates are current or former teachers/educators, dance students or performers, or instructors with experience teaching youth, who demonstrate reliability, strong communication, and the ability to facilitate engaging enrichment experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience with dance instruction, choreography, or performance
- Experience working with youth (schools, studios, camps, or after-school programs)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
