Job Summary
Lead engaging after-school dance sessions for students at local partner schools, teaching choreography and movement techniques through structured activities. Classes typically meet once per week for about one hour, with possibilities to teach multiple programs per week based on availability. Responsibilities include maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment, encouraging creativity, confidence, and teamwork, coordinating with school staff and Concorde program contacts, and guiding students in developing rhythm, coordination, confidence, and performance skills through movement and choreography. Possible topics include hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, or cultural dance styles, rhythm and musicality, basic technique, choreography, and short routines for school events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience with dance instruction, choreography, or performance
- Experience working with youth (schools, studios, camps, or after-school programs)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
