Job Summary
Lead after-school dance sessions for students at partner schools, teaching choreography across hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and cultural styles. Deliver structured enrichment lessons, adapt activities to student needs, and foster rhythm, coordination, confidence, teamwork, and performance skills. Maintain a positive classroom environment, coordinate with school staff and Concorde program contacts, and plan/teach routines for demonstrations or events. Requires minimum 60 college credits, experience instructing or performing in dance, youth-facing experience, strong communication and group-facilitation skills, and reliability. Part-time role (1–4 hours/week, typically 1 hour per session) with compensation starting at $50+ per instructional hour, based on assignment and experience. Locations: Queens, NY (US).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience with dance instruction, choreography, or performance
- Experience working with youth (schools, studios, camps, or after-school programs)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
