Job Summary
Lead engaging after-school dance sessions for students using structured weekly plans. Teach choreography and movement techniques, adapt activities to student needs, and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment. Plan and execute enrichment lessons across dance styles such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, or cultural dance, focusing on rhythm, musicality, coordination, and performance skills. Coordinate with school staff and Concorde program contacts; sessions are typically once per week for about one hour, with some instructors teaching multiple programs per week based on availability. Emphasize creativity, confidence, teamwork, and demonstrations or school events, while ensuring safety and inclusivity.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience with dance instruction, choreography, or performance
- Experience working with youth (schools, studios, camps, or after-school programs)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
