Job Summary
Part-time clinical instructors report to the Department Chair and communicate with instructional faculty overseeing course content. Responsibilities include participating in training, working non-consecutive weekends at a clinical site, planning patient assignments, demonstrating nursing skills, and providing individualized feedback to students. Mandatory qualifications include a master's degree in nursing, an active NYS RN license, and substantial RN experience. The position emphasizes commitment to student success and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing from a program with institutional accreditation
- Active, unencumbered NYS RN license
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in varied clinical areas
- Current clinical experience within an acute care hospital setting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising nursing students and/or new graduate RNs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with various modes of educational technology, including video conferencing software
- Current BLS certification
