Job Summary
Maintain student records, communicate progress to parents and staff, and prepare lessons aligned with Individual Education Plans. Create and instruct students using adapted physical education techniques to improve fitness, gross motor skills, and sports achievement while adapting instruction to individual age and skill levels. Establish a safe, orderly environment, provide positive feedback, and manage PE inventory. Ensure ongoing compliance with IDEA regulations. This hybrid role requires a valid California PE credential with Adapted Education authorization or CBEST eligibility, current TB test results, and appropriate auto insurance. Candidates must clear FBI and DOJ background checks. Required Qualifications
- A valid California credential in Physical Education with authorization in Adapted Education
- Be enrolled in a program and have passed the CBEST with eligibility for a waiver from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- Hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work (at least 25/50k liability coverage)
- Must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ
- A current TB Test
