Job Summary
Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-on-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. Document individual participation and the value of approaches in medical records while assisting the resident activity director. Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation, fostering community through individual and group activities, pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy. Maintain records of activities and attendance, store equipment, and prepare for special events and seasonal parties. Develop and post the monthly calendar as a planning resource. Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms and promote volunteer efforts. Provide or arrange comfort and support for residents and families when needed. Work collaboratively with other disciplines using the biopsychosocial model to support resident well-being.

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work with residents/families facing end of life issues
