Job Summary
Part-Time Accelerated Math Teacher for 5th–7th grade at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Grand Rapids, MI. Three days per week, teach two class periods daily in small-group accelerated math instruction, and prepare students for Advanced High School Math courses. Responsibilities include delivering engaging, rigorous math instruction at an accelerated pace, challenging students with problem-solving and advanced mathematical concepts, fostering a positive learning environment, monitoring progress and communicating with families (report cards), and collaborating with administration and faculty.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification preferred
- Strong content knowledge in middle school and advanced mathematics
- Ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
